Linda's Work

Al Hirschfeld
"My portrait taken by Linda Solomon is a beautiful work of art. It reminds me of a piece of sculpture which has come to life. Linda Solomon is a remarkable photographer, whose work ranks with Karsch."
Al Hirschfeld, 2001

Commissioned Portraits

Throughout her career, Linda's work has been commissioned by numerous celebrities. The collections of Ms. Elizabeth Taylor, Mr. Tony Bennett, the late Al Hirschfeld, and many others, contain portraits taken exclusively by Linda. Additionally, her photography has been featured in books by noted authors, including Elmore Leonard and Robert James Waller.

Public Speaking & Lectures

Linda is a nationally recognized public speaker and has been a featured speaker for numerous universities and organizations across the country. Her captivating speeches detail her introduction to photography and father's inspiration, explore the wide-ranging benefits of photography-related educational programs, and share her passion for photojournalism.

Educational Programs

Linda has consistently dedicated her time to developing educational programs that introduce cameras and photography to children of all ages. She has personally visisted hundreds of classrooms and founded programs, such as "It's A Snap", which have collectively provided over one million cameras to elementary school children.

Currently, she is working on a "A Picture of Hope", visiting Salvation Army Shelters in ten cities. Sponsored by General Motors, the program will allow children to create Holiday cards with their images of hope and beautiful words. 100% of the proceeds from the Holiday card sales will go directly back to the shelters.

Previously, her "My Holiday Wish" program, for children in Orlando, Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina homeless shelters, gained national acclaim. Photographs taken by these children were transformed into greeting cards sold through the Salvation Army in both cities, with 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefiting women and children in city homeless shelters.
